Sustained Investigation '23
How does the lifecycle and changes of flowers show different emotions, feelings, and stages of life? For my sustained investigation I explored the fact that I have always had a love for flowers. They appear in milestones of my life and making this my sustained investigation has given me the opportunity to show others this meaning and to express it creatively.
For my sustained investigation I experimented with different techniques like cyanotypes, hand-color, salt texture, distortion, and painted on developer to see what kinds of depth new techniques could bring to the meaning of my photos. I used Photoshop to see what colors and changes would take my photos to the next level and to make the message better portrayed. All of these techniques helped me to better show my vision for my sustained investigation. I got to witness how the flowers and their messages started to change and evolve through the editing.
